Expanding my horizons

Just thought I'd add a quick post to say I have expanded my social networking horizons and have now joined Twitter. God forbid I ever get as addicted to this as I am to facebook -I'll have to figure out how it works first :)

The job is MINE!

Yay! So today (you'll notice I say 'so' quite a lot) I had college which was well, you know, college -not good, not bad, just college. Anyways...so it was when I got home (after doing a quick bit of food shopping first with my mum- not by choice) that I discovered my scrabble ring had arrived! Yes I was so happy. I love my scrabble 'H' ring. It was really hard to find what with there only being one, ONE I tell you, H in a scrabble game so when I finally found someone selling an 'H' one on ebay I just had to buy it - it had to be MINE!
Unfortunately whilst trying to make it bigger I accidentally pulled the ring part of it off but, never fear, I had a tube of super glue to hand and after much maneuvering to get the lid off I finally stuck it back together. As 'Aleksandr' from Compare-the-Meerkat would say... simples.

My Scrabble ring

So it was whilst waiting for my ring to dry that I heard my phone vibrating. It was an unknown number. Thinking it might be someone about babysitting I answered it. It wasn't. It was in fact Rachael from Paperchase in House of Fraser calling to offer me the job. YAY! I don't know exactly what hours it'll be but it should either be Friday 5-8 and Sunday 2-5 or Tuesday 5-8 and Saturday 12-3. Either will be fine I don't care. I'm just so happy I got a job. At a time like this, with the recession being in such a state, I knew it was risky resigning from Primark without another job lined up but I decided enough was enough and that I wasn't going to stay there and deal with that Twat James anymore (my manager). So I quit and what do you know two weeks later I have another *fingers crossed* much better job lined up for me at Paperchase. Yay! I have to go in on Saturday at about 11:45 to do some training and sign contracts and stuff I guess. Excited.

Overall then today has been a very good day and although I have lots of revision to do for Law I just had to write this on here.
Also just checked Kandeeland (a blog I follow avidly and I'm sure there will be many more references to this wonderful place as time goes on) and found out that Kandee has had her baby -yep lil' cupcake is here! No name yet but I'm sure it will be lovely and going by the names of her other children, quite unique :D

Hugs and Kisses

My First Post - The Life of an Ordinary Teenager

Hey! This is my very first blog and I basically decided to write a blog as a way to keep some sort of record of what happens in my life (despite it being just an average one) a type of scrapbook so to speak. I don't really expect many (or any) people to actually read this so I guess that means I can basically just write whatever I want.
So hi, I'm Hollie, I'm almost 18 and this is the life of a *fairly* ordinary teenager.
